Private events may be one of the most overlooked revenue streams in full-service restaurants, but the problem is less about demand than infrastructure. As AI pushes more commerce, media, and work onto screens, capital is starting to flow in the opposite direction toward assets rooted in offline communities and experiences. For example, Thrive Eternal is investing in assets whose value cannot be easily replicated by technology, while Ari Emanuelβs MARI is betting billions on live events, sports, art fairs, and experiential IP. Restaurants sit squarely inside this same offline economy, yet many are still managing one of their most valuable in-person channels through email, spreadsheets, Google Calendar, PDFs, Word docs, manual credit card collection, and BEOs.
