Local Kitchens Rebrands As Culinary Collective With New Southern California Launch

As DFG Ventures-incubated Neighborly gains popularity and Wonder continues attracting more capital, omnichannel micro food hall Local Kitchens has landed in Southern California this month with a new strategy. Rather than license existing restaurant brands for pickup and delivery as it has done in its dozen Northern California locations, the startup is now taking a page from Neighborly and building entirely new brands centered around acclaimed chefs. Just as Neighborly dubs itself a “Curated Food Hall,” Local Kitchens is now branding itself as a “Culinary Collective” with five chefs each specializing in a different cuisine. Over the past week HNGRY ventured over to Local Kitchens’ first Southern California location in Studio City, CA to get a beta taste and inside scoop.
