Tesla Creates Integrated Food Tech Experience Powering Diner & Supercharger Of The Future

In an ode to 1950’s retro drive-ins, Tesla has finally unveiled the first proof-of-concept of its new Diner that doubles as a 24/7 charging station, outdoor theater, and restaurant in the heart of Hollywood, CA. Despite mainstream media’s obsession over canceling Elon Musk, the opening days this week have drawn massive crowds and long waits. With Tesla’s latest vehicle software update, customers can now pre-order food while en route to the Diner as their Tesla batteries begin pre-conditioning for its fast Superchargers. The company has hired former Virtual Dining Concepts Culinary Director (Mr. Beast Burger) and New School American Cheese founder Eric Greenspan to create a modern twist on diner classics like burgers, hot dogs, tuna melts, and fountain sodas in collaboration with LA-based restaurateur Bill Chait. This week, HNGRY took a trip to fuel up and see what the intersection of charging and dining might look like in the not-so-distant future.
