NYC Food Crawl Reveals Micro-retail, Automation, & Financing Trends Shaping Restaurants
Share:

This past Tuesday, a handful of HNGRY Trends NYC members came together via our WhatsApp group for a special food crawl of some of the latest and greatest food concepts across the city such as Pop Up Bagels, Counter Service, and Popchew. Each of these venues was chosen for various attributes such as scalability, efficiency, and of course, technology. Participants included honorary HNGRY Social Chair Ori Barnik, Brandon Barton of Bite and The Simmer podcast, Noah Sobel-Pressman (Gopuff), and David Salama (Insomnia Cookies). The main themes were small-format retail footprints <1k sqft, limited-time collabs, omnichannel, and automation. Below is a play-by-play of our journey.
